Computers unfortunately have a tendency to break. They get dropped, slammed, and carried all over. They have several moving parts inside that spin as fast as a race car's engine. With constant movement, and fast spinning parts, things will eventually break. Just Smart Guys can replace pretty much any part of your computer. Before doing any repairs we will consult with you and make sure that the repair is cost effective.

Many machines can have their life extended by simple upgrades. By replacing the Hard Drive or RAM in your computer you can improve the performance and increase its storage capacity. If you are buying a new machine, it is often more cost effective to buy a basic machine and upgrade it. Just Smart Guys can usually upgrade your new machine for less than the manufacturer. Our parts will be the same or greater quality, and in many cases are the same parts/brands used by the manufacturer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring?
If it is a laptop, we will need the laptop, the powercord, and the software that came with your computer (if available). If it is a desktop we will need your tower, and the software that came with your computer (if available).

How long do repairs/upgrades take?
If we have the required parts in stock, most repairs are done the same day or are available the next morning. Most ordered parts are available next day. If their is a longer wait for the part we will let you know before ordering.

What if my machine still has a warranty?
If your machine is eligible for a warrantied repair we can request replacement parts from the manufacturer. While the parts would be covered under the warranty, there is a small fee for processing the claim. Most manufacturers no longer pay for labor on warrantied repairs unless the device is shipped to their repair center. If we perform your warranty repair, you may be responsible for labor costs (usually $50 or less). If it is sent in to a manufacturer's repair center, repair times can vary from a few days to a few weeks. On-site repairs are typically completed in 1 or 2 days.

Will it void my warranty?
In most cases performing an upgrade or repair does not void your warranty. If the requested repair/upgrade voids your warranty we will notify you before performing the repair.
